Rankings Table: Top Universities in UK
UK University Ranking Tables – Top Universities in UK
Our aim is to help you find the ideal university to study at and the UK university ranking tables can help you do that. Each year a number of British newspapers compile tables of the top universities in the UK, based on academic reputation and previous results.
If you are still unsure of which university you will choose these tables can be useful as they are a good indicator of which establishments are the most respected. Some of the results might even surprise you and lead you to consider a university that you hadn’t thought of before.
UK university ranking tables are released annually by several respected newspapers so it is wise to look through the results, but it is important only to use them as a guide when you come to make your choice. They will show you the top universities in the UK but you should consider your course and find out more about how it is run at the establishments that you are interested in.
Browse the current UK university ranking tables on this page and hopefully it will help guide you towards the perfect university.

The Guardian 2014 University Rankings
The Guardian is another well respected newspaper in the UK that also produces a university rankings table each year. The tables are based on six criteria: Overall Quality, Teaching Quality, Student Satisfaction, Spending per Student, Staff/Student Ratio, Job Prospects, Entry Score and Value Added. Importantly, the Guardian’s rankings do not take research output into consideration, meaning it is more focused on the actual student experience.
