You should certainly be able to find your perfect course at ELC York, due to its huge range. The school offers from just 15 hours for one week, to 30 hours a week for six months, in everything from IELTS and TOEFL exams, to English for professionals.

Students are taught in 18 modern and well-equipped classrooms, and can also make use of a multi-media centre and extensive library. Many of the students that study at the school will stay with a local family and be treated as a member of that family, as part of the 'Homestay' scheme. However, the school also has its own student residence just a short walk from the classrooms.

York itself is a historic city filled with ancient and beautiful architecture. However, in contrast it is also very much a student city, and therefore has a good selection of entertainment facilities such as bars, pubs, clubs and theatres.
