Set in a beautiful area of England, Bath is also one of the most academically respected universities in the UK. It was awarded the prestigious University of the Year title from the Sunday Times in 2012, and took 3rd place in 2013.  

Bath offers a huge range of subjects to study, and two thirds of the university's courses are ranked in the top ten nationally, including over a third in the top five. It offers both single and joint honours courses, as well as sandwich placements and study abroad opportunities, meaning you have almost endless choice. The university places a large emphasis on preparing its students for the world of work, and 60% of them undertake a work placement as part of their degree.

The university is based on one of the safest campus sites in the UK, with everything you could ever need all located within a few minutes' walk. All first-year students are guaranteed campus accommodation with easy access to the 24-hour library, first-class sports facilities, excellent places to eat & drink, and a huge new Students' Union that opened just 3 years ago. 

The campus is also just 1 mile from the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bath. It has a great balance between beautiful old buildings, museums & galleries, and  bars, restaurants, clubs & shops perfect for students. 

The University of Exeter's academic excellence is undoubted- it is in the top 10 in all UK ranking tables and is a member of the prestigious Russell Group of universities. However, the university is also very proud of the life it provides for its students, and it is this that led to Exeter being named The Sunday Times University of the Year 2013 and maintaining a top ten position in the National Student Survey since the survey was launched in 2005.

Exeter offers massive variety in the courses it offers and the way you can study them. The Flexible Combined Honours scheme allows you to choose exactly what you want to study, whilst other schemes let you study at Exeter for just 1 or 2 years as part of an exchange from your 'home' university. 

The university has three campuses, but the main one with the vast majority of the buildings, is just a 15 minute walk from the city of Exeter. The campus is regarded as one of the most beautiful in the country and is surrounded by stunning countryside and coastline. It is also nicely compact, offering students the teaching buildings, libraries, accommodation and social buildings conveniently close to each other- as well as one of the UK's leading students' unions.

St Andrews is the third oldest university in the English-speaking world, and is currently celebrating an amazing 600 years since its foundation in 1413. Much like Oxford and Cambridge, it prides itself on maintaining centuries-old traditions, from red gowns & Chapel services, to academic families & torch lit pier walks.

St Andrews offers a huge range of different courses, and many different ways to take them, including four-year degree and joint honours. Though academically excellent in most of its courses, the university is particularly well known for its Physics and Astronomy programme (2nd best in UK) and its Arts and Humanities department, which was placed in the top 20 in the world. 

30% of the student population is from overseas, with over 120 different nationalities represented and amazingly 15% of the total student body comes from North America.

If you want to experience full-on student life, then St Andrews may be for you. Set in a small community, during term time over a third of the town's population is made up of university students. The area is a beautiful setting to live, and is just a 10 minute walk from the beach.
