Although only fifty years old, the University of Warwick has quickly grown into a large campus university. In the rankings tables Warwick is frequently placed in the top five universities in the UK, and places great importance on improving international relations.

Warwick offers a huge range of different courses for international students, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. However, one of the university’s particular strengths is the Business school, thanks to the close links that the university has with the international business community.

A large part of a Warwick student’s life is the university campus where all the university buildings are within a few minutes walk of each other. The campus contains the largest arts centre in the UK outside of London, which offers a cinema, theatre and art gallery, whilst the Student Union offers nights out almost every day of the week.

University of Cambridge

The University of Cambridge is considered one of the best universities not just in the UK, but in the world. It is split into 31 colleges spread throughout the beautiful city of Cambridge, and almost a quarter of its students are from abroad.

Students can choose from a wide range of academic courses in both arts and science. The courses are taught in an almost unique way, as students attend small weekly teaching groups called supervisions where they discuss the week’s work with their tutor and just one or two other students.

Life at Cambridge is impacted by the University’s college system. Students live, eat and study at their college, and much of a Cambridge student’s social and sporting life also revolves around their college, which acts as a small community within the larger university.

City University

Based in London, City University is a medium sized university with an impressive academic reputation. It is well known for producing highly employable graduates with impressive starting salaries and has close links with the business world.

International students have a large choice of varied courses, with around 100 different disciplines to choose from, including Law, Journalism, Business, Nursing, Engineering and Psychology to name just a tiny selection.

The university is based near the centre of London and it is this that shapes the life of its students. The West End is very close and boasts an extremely lively nightlife, with a good number of student friendly priced bars and nightclubs, as well as the famous theatre district.

University of the Arts London

The University of the Arts, London is made up of six colleges spread throughout London that joined together under one name just five years ago. Despite the university’s young age it is already the largest provider of arts education in Europe and has branches in countries all over the world.

The university specialises in art, design, fashion, communication and the performing arts. International students can choose from any of these subjects to study at undergraduate, postgraduate or foundation level (to prepare for an undergraduate degree).

Students enjoy all the benefits of living and studying in London, whether it be a cultural day out at one on the city’s many theatres, art galleries or museums, or a night out at one of the literally hundreds of bars and nightclubs.

Imperial College London

Imperial College London is one of the best specialist universities in the world. Set in the centre of London, it attracts students from all over the world.

Imperial specializes at undergraduate level in Science, Engineering and Medicine, whilst postgraduates can study Business as well as those three. However, within these areas, there are a large number of courses available to international students ranging from Geology to Computing. In the areas that Imperial specializes it is one of the world leaders, and is able to offer students a very high level of teaching.

Students at Imperial also enjoy all the benefits of living in the centre of London, which offers endless options whatever you enjoy doing, from watching a top football match to going to a world famous night club.
